I’m sure by now, everyone has heard of the CBD oil strain called Charlotte’s Web. Well long before the very brave Charlotte Figi, there was Rick Simpson. Rick Simpson had an Illness that Traditional Medicine couldn’t help (that one sounds familiar to me). Rick was very outspoken of his support for Cannabinoids, and it led him to a lot of legal problems. Probably the only man alive to have a legal Issue for helping to save someone’s life, and there were hundreds that he treated for free. Rick was able to come up with his oil by extracting the Cannabinoids and Terpenes out of the flower of Cannabis and into an oil. Eventually it became known as Rick Simpson Oil, or RSO, which is known today by millions. In fact, many people myself included refer to any Cannabinoid Oil as RSO oil after the Inventor who made it all possible for the rest of us, Rick Simpson.
In President Trump signed the 2018 Farm Bill and made Hemp and CBD legal. Since then, in only five short years, reports indicate that as many as one in seven Americans are on CBD. Does this mean it really works?
Well, according to millions of people, it does work! It worked for my ex-wife’s Brain Injuries for some time before needing to add Terpenes.
How does CBD RSO Oil come, or what is CBD RSO Oil? How much to use?
Most RSO comes in Syringes. All RSO Oil is, is the Oil or Cannabinoids being washed out of the Plant Matter aka Flower. This leaves behind a sticky gooey oil behind that is normally put into syringes. The way I found that worked best for my ex-wife was to put about half the size of a grain of rice on a Tic Tac and place under the Tongue. This is about 12.5mg, and a full grain of rice size would be about 25 mg. This is how many people start out dosing. Many people use CBD both for themselves and their pets like Cats and Dogs.
My pet Pug had a golf ball size Tumor grow on her neck in only a few days. We took her to the Vet were putting her down was not an option, we didn’t want to let go of her. She said the Surgery would remove the Tumor and Chemo plus Radiation would give her about six months more or so to live, but at what quality of life and for how long really if it didn’t kill her? This was in 2014 and I knew about Rick Simpson Oil, so I tried it on my dog’s Cancer, both CBD RSO and THC RSO having Illegally obtaining it. Yep, I committed a Felony because CBD was Illegal back then making finding and getting it challenging to say the least, plus in 2014, who knew what Terpenes were? They said that with no Chemo or Radiation, she wouldn’t make it past six months. We did the Surgery but skipped the Chemo and Radiation. She still died even on the RSO treatment…sixteen months later! And in that time, we enjoyed what little we had left with her free of complications. She was fun, Not Lethargic and a Joy to be around!

Dosage: Rick Simpson Oil
People ask me all the time what the standard dosage is and how much to take? One should talk to their Doctor first, but there weren’t any Doctors to talk to in 2014. Everything was new and had yet to be figured out, so don’t feel bad for not knowing how to dose, neither did I to begin with. All they would tell me was that it was illegal, but I knew better, and I was right! I felt fortunate that I was able to find some for $150 a gram, I actually felt lucky that I could even get access to it at any price, it was the difference between life and death for my former wife with her Brain Injuries. The day we received that first syringe of CBD RSO Oil, it looked like Gold to me! I had to ask him, what do I do? He replied to put about half the size of a grain of rice on a Tic Tac and place under your Tongue. She had a Spinal Pressure Headache from hell for several days which is far worse than a Migraine. I later found out half the size of a grain of rice is about 12.5 milligrams. By placing it under her Tongue, that is called Sublingual Buccal. It goes directly into the Bloodstream in a matter of minutes, not an hour or more. By doing so, you don’t lose anything to First Pass Metabolism, or Digestion.
After that first dose, I asked her less than half an hour how she felt, and she said she had forgotten about her Spinal Pressure Headache! After two grueling days, the Pain was gone! That felt like a Miracle in itself for her. For the last 25 years she has taken her meds three times a day. After that day and from then on it was only twice a day, and as time wore on, she eliminated more prescriptions because she no longer needed them. She weaned herself off Opiates because she listened to her body and reduced her intake of Opiates as the Anti-Inflammation Terpene/CBD Capsules took over for the Pain Relief. An Opiate only masks the Pain but does nothing to treat the source of the Pain which is Inflammation. Terpenes with a boost from CBD, works by reducing the Inflammation at the source of the Pain, reducing the need for Opiates. Many Volunteers have reported help with Opiate Use Disorder and gotten relief from it!
Another way to take CBD RSO Oil is to put a measured dose into a capsule. Milligram scale that are not that expensive and can give you a precise weight, so you know what amount you’re dosing, some empty capsules and you’re in business. Some people like to Micro Dose consuming a little at a time throughout the day, or in food like peanut butter. The only problem with these ways is that you lose some of your Medicine to First Pass Metabolism or Digestion as it’s called. It also can take from forty-five minutes to two hours to feel the effects, so for that reason and many more we prefer under the Tongue or Sublingual Buccal.
RSO Oil usually comes in a Syringe. Sometimes the viscosity or the thickness of RSO Oil can make it hard to get all of the oil out of your Syringe. The way around that is to hold it in your hand and let it warm up for a few minutes. Another way is to heat a bowl of water and take the heated water off the burner and let your syringe soak there for a few minutes. DO NOT put it in the microwave!
What is the Rick Simpson Cancer Treatment
Rick Simpson is best known for his 60-gram 90 Treatment Program for Cancer. Consult with your Doctor first. THC is not legal in all states and many people must pass a Drug Test, so many can only use CBD and Terpenes instead, or sometimes, Terpenes only. The aim of this program for Cancer is to consume 60 grams of CBD RSO in 90 days. The best way is to start with is a half the Size Grain of Rice three times a day which is about 40 milligrams under the tongue for one week. Second week, double it and keep increasing the dose until you can take one gram a day. You want to build up to a gram a day, build up to and not start with, so you consume 60 grams in 90 days. Rick says CBD can’t do it alone as far as Fighting Cancer goes, and right or wrong we compensate for that by using Terpenes that have been thoroughly researched and tested through the National Institute of Health for Cancer Relief.
Some of the Terpenes we use today work by inducing Cytotoxicity in several Cancer lines, and we have several for that purpose, no big deal. We have several that cause Apoptosis which is Cancer Cells dying or commonly referred to as PCD, or Programed Cell Death, and others that help Drug Resistance in many other Cancers. There is one that sensitizes Tumor Cells to Chemo Agents, meaning it helps standard Chemo become more efficient without additional ”Body Rejection Effects”. Some Terpenes inhibit the growth and spread of Tumors and Malignant Cells. It is in pre-clinical trials to test its Anti-Tumor effect by loss of Cell Membrane Integrity by possibly mimicking the effects that Chemo has on several Cancer lines. Of course, there’s much more!
