This is a Gastrointestinal, or GI Disorder. It affects the large Intestine and causes many problems for you such as Diarrhea, Abdominal Pain, Cramps, bloating and gas. There is no known cure for this dreaded Disease. It can last for several years or even a lifetime.
The latest research coming out from the Mayo Clinic indicates that there is a role that Inflammation plays with IBS. Recent research claims that Inflammation which can be caused by an infection that may trigger IBS Symptoms. Some people that have IBS also have long term Inflammation which this alone causes many problems for a host of people.
People with IBD have a greater risk of Colorectal Cancer due to Chronic Inflammation of the large intestine or Colon as it’s better known as.
What happens is that food is pushed through the Stomach too quickly causing many of the problems associated with IBS. Diarrhea being the most prevalent. In other cases, the food moves too slowly which has the effect of your stool becoming too hard. I think this is where a lot of problems occurs for IBS suffers. Pharmaceutical treatments for this Disease, which is caused by Inflammation, is not treated by Anti-Inflammatories? Why not? It is treated with Corticosteroids because I guess there is not really a good Anti-Inflammation medication on the market, or I’m sure they would be using it by now if they had something worth trying.
The Terpene Answer
All of our Terpenes are screened for their ability to fight Inflammation first and foremost. This the main reason that all of this got started.
